Sports Day 2017

For one day, the Vienna Prater was transformed into the largest open-air sports festival in Austria. Of course, we couldn't be missed at what is now the 17th edition of this top-class event and more than 400,000 enthusiastic participants.

The weekend was action-packed for Phantom Athletics . We started on Friday morning with a photo and video shoot with Jasmin Eder from the Austrian national soccer team in the “Soccer Dome”. This was also the first time our brand new drone was used - you can get a first insight in our vlog “ Phantom 24/7 – Episode 004”.

Afterwards we went straight to “CrossZone”, the largest CrossFit studio in Europe, where our newest Phantom Athlete Daniel Jahn works as a coach. The second shooting of the day took place there. In the historic arcades, our two top wrestling athletes, Martina Kuenz and Michael Wagner, demonstrated their skills for the camera. Of course, our drone couldn't be missing in a location like this. The event ended with a relaxed dinner with the two of them with an interesting discussion about social media and wrestling in Austria.

On Saturday, after breakfast, we went straight to the Sports Day in Vienna's Prater to our stand at the Ernst Happel Stadium. In addition to our partner in the neighboring tent “I believe in you” and the Austrian Sports Aid, more than 150 other sports associations and clubs were represented. Our athletes Michaela Kuenz and Michael Wagner were also at the start with the police sports association.

At 10 a.m. Abu Ilias landed in rocket mode. Together with In typical rocket style, he tried out a wide variety of sports with the Phantom training mask, from basketball, soccer, football and many more...

In the meantime all hell broke loose at the Phantom Athletics stand. Athletes of all ages were able to test our Phantom training mask and have it explained to them, including numerous professional athletes from a wide range of disciplines, from sailing and basketball to skiing and fencing. Our Phantom athlete Markus Ragginger was also present at the stand after he won the award for “Young Wrestler of the Year”.

With many new connections, impressions and encounters, this day was a complete success for us. At this point, a big thank you again to the countless sports enthusiasts who showed such enthusiasm and interest and made this day unforgettable for us.
We are already looking forward to next year, when the Prater will be transformed into a huge sports stage again.
